Amazingly large bed! With a tall guy. The struggle is real for bed space. Here, this was not a problem. It was two full sized beds placed together in a large room. The bed is extremely firm, some would say hard. And the pillows are not soft. However, it is really good for the back and body and we both slept extremely well without hitting each other in our sleep…lol. The staff is excellent, very polite. Their English is good and we had no problems speaking with them. The building and decor itself is just beautiful. It is definitely a fancy hotel, but very open and charming. I didn’t have time to check out the spa, so I can’t comment. We would definitely go back.

The hotel was really pretty, and had really unique decor. It was conveniently located next to Karasuma Oike Station, which made getting into central Kyoto really easy. The room was very clean, and the super king bed was absolutely massive (could have easily fit four or five people), which we loved. The breakfast was exceptional; the dining room was really beautiful, and the food was amazing. There were loads of choices, and the fresh omelette station was incredible. The spa and baths were really lovely and peaceful, and they were great for a morning soak. The staff were also very friendly and helpful. We will definitely be staying here again!

Great location as it was within walking distance to Nishiki Market (20mins) and across the street from Starbucks as there are 2 close by. Very close to the Metro Train station. Accommodated a family of 4. One room had 4 beds which was a good size as my husband is 6 feet tall and he fit fine. This hotel has a Fresh Spring water SPA on the 13th floor. My daughter and I loved the SPA as they had 4 types of pools and a steam room. You can view it before purchasing which was nice and price was very affordable. Friendly front desk & they spoke English.

Superb location! Walkable to a lot of tourists locations and shopping and restaurant areas. The staff were excellent and they spoke good English. No issues to get messages across. Close to the train station too so easy access everywhere. Rooms were clean but a little bit awkward with certain placement of things. Maybe they were doing the colonial style thing but I think maybe in small rooms it's more important to be practical. Room was esthetically appealing though. :)

The hotel was beautiful and centrally located. Walking distance from the Nishiki market and the more important shrines. Since we were there during the New Year's holiday, we heard the striking of the gong before, during and after midnight from the shrine. For me it was so magical because it was such a different experience. Right across from the hotel is a unique Starbucks with a shrine behind it.
